Born Johannesburg, 1962. Lives and works in Cape Town.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, 1985
Joined Afrapix, a collective of South African photographers, 1986 to 1990
Worked for Reuters 1986 to 1988, South Africa
Freelance photographer for South African and foreign press, 1986 to 1998
Worked for Agence France Presse, South Africa, 1993 to 1994
