Berni Searle

Berni Searle showed Moonlight, a new work in the series 'Black smoke rising', at Michael Stevenson as part of the group exhibition This Is Our Time (3 June - 24 July 2010). She is included on Dissolve, the 8th SITE Santa Fe International Biennial, Santa Fe, New Mexico (20 June 2010 - 2 January 2011), and Events of the Self: Portraiture and Social Identity, the opening exhibition of the Walther Collection, Neu-Ulm/Burlafingen, Southern Germany (from 17 June, by appointment). Other recent group shows include An Imagined State at the Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA), Lagos (31 October - 28 November 2009); and Undercover: Performing and transforming black female identities at Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, Atlanta, GA (10 September - 5 December 2009).
